OUR SERVICES
NHS Dentistry
Dentistry is one of the very few National Health Services that you have to pay for.
This section explains what you will have to pay for, and when you may not have to pay.
The treatment that your dentist believes is necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health is available on the NHS. This means that the NHS provides treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy and free of pain.
Depending on what you need to have done, you should only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it.
There are three standard charges for all NHS dental treatments;
From 01 April 2019;
Band one course of treatment - £23.80
This covers an examination, diagnosis (including x-rays), advice on how to prevet future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.
Band two course of treatment - £65.20
This covers everything listed in band one above, plus fillings, root canal work, or removal of teeth.
Band three course of treatment - £282.20
This covers everything listed in band one and two above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges where applicable.
Denplan
Denplan is the UK's leading dental payment plan specialist with over 6500 member dentists across the UK and approximately 1.8 million patients.
Your Denplan fees are set by your dentist, based on the amount of time you will spend with them and other members of the practice team during the year. Your dentist will also consider the costs of likely treatments based on your level of oral health.
Dentists set their own fees; these vary depending on the location of the practice, its overheads for meeting professional regulations, and the dental payment plan you agree. You can view details of the dental payment plans to check what is and isn't included in the products. Every Denplan care contract is between you and your dentist. Please confirm what is in your plan with your dentist.
Why might my fees change?
The amount you pay is dependent on your dentist's evaluation of your oral health and the amount of treatment you need. Your fee will reflect the amount of time your dentist and the dental team spend with you. If your oral health changes, this will be reflected in your fee. Additionally, Denplan dentists review their fees in line with business costs and professional regulations, such as the new infection control facilities required.
Private Treatment
At North Park, we offer private dentistry and also private alternatives for NHS patients. We also offer tooth whitening as well as a range of cosmetic treatments for your teeth. Your dentist will be more than happy to discuss these options with you should you have any further questions.
